Do the screenings hurt and are they safe?

All screenings are painless because they are performed using ultrasound and other non-invasive medical technology and are therefore completely safe. There is no radiation exposure with this technology.

How long do the tests take to complete?

Most screenings take between seven to twelve minutes each. Be prepared to spend 2 hours with our team should you choose our Full Body Scan which includes a thorough review of your findings.

Will my privacy be respected?

Screens are utilized to provide the highest level of privacy that can be offered within the screening facility. You can rest assured that the information derived from these screenings will remain confidential and are the property of the participant.

When will I get my results?

Your results will be given to you moments after your screenings are completed. You will receive a hard copy of your results and you may also be provided pictures and a video DVD of the screenings to share with your health professional. Your results will be carefully explained so that you understand what they mean to you allowing you to take any appropriate necessary steps. This is your opportunity to truly become empowered to improve your own health.

Will my insurance reimburse me for the tests?

Most insurance companies do not pay for preventive screenings. However, if the screenings do show a positive result, most insurance companies will pay for the diagnostic procedures and treatment to follow.

What should I do with the results?

If you have a “positive” result from a screening, you should take your results to your physician for further review as more tests may need to be run to make a complete diagnosis and treatment plan.

When do I pay?

Unless screenings are being sponsored by the someone other than yourself, individuals are asked to pay at the registration table prior to being screened.

How much do these tests cost elsewhere?

Screenings provided by Pacific Health and Wellness are typically a fraction of what hospitals would charge. This is made possible because Pacific Health and Wellness has much lower overhead than a hospital, so the savings are passed on to our clients.

Are these tests accurate and viable?
